Grey Films India Private Limited is
one of India's most successful independent production houses, prolific
across a broad range of genres in motion pictures, documentaries and
television broadcast programming, including adventure, archaeology, culture,
environment and wildlife, health, history, reality, religion, society,
science and technology. Based in the capital city of India, New Delhi, the
company has offices in Mumbai and Chennai. A young company, launched in May
2002, we have built a track record for ourselves in the entertainment world
with our combined experience of over two decades in fiction and factual
programming.
We offer a comprehensive range of services to
national and international broadcasters, production companies and
advertising agencies. Our aim is to set standards for cinematography and
production services in accordance with internationally accepted practices.
Through experience, innovation and creativity in the business of documentary
and television production, we are a committed group of individuals in this
field.
We create powerful entertainment across all genres for
audience around the world. Our mission is to inspire, challenge creativity,
celluloid, ideas, programming and technology as we know it. And we derive

technological resources towards innovation and deliverables and which

Not only do we produce independently, but also undertake
co-productions for film and documentary productions with international
companies. This has helped us in discovering new ideas and markets and also
in strengthening our vision.
High Definition (HD) is the revolution
in resolution and we at Grey Films are proud to be one of the pioneers of HD
cinematography in India. There is no doubt that HD is here to stay.
Integrating it into our work is essential and we want to be among the
documentary pioneers known for doing HD well in Asia.
The Grey
Films collection of photographs is a full range of traditional and digital
media imagery - from contemporary creative photographs to entertainment and
archival imagery. Our mission is to provide advertisers, editors,
publishers, filmmakers and marketers with a single source for all of their
visual needs.

Grey Films - Cinema
Having marked our forte in television programming, Grey Films India Pvt.
Ltd. entered the world of celluloid dreams in 2005. We produced and release
our maiden commercial film, titled Naalai (Tomorrow) in Tamil. The film has
achieved popular success and critical acclaim. With Naalai we set a trend,
in not just the way films are produced, but also in the way they are
packaged and delivered - a milestone in the history of mainstream Tamil
cinema. With just one film under our banner, we are proud to say that today
Grey Films has become a name synonymous with apt screenplay, technical
clarity and timely deliverables.
Balancing growth and cost
containment, Naalai has seen Grey Films implement a clearly defined business
strategy - based on diversification, maximization of distribution channels
and risk management - that has balanced gross production spending against
the total investment.
We are currently developing ideas for our
next feature film in Tamil and Telegu.
We foresee a future in
cinema in which high-quality, diverse and memorable theatrical entertainment
is delivered to the growing global marketplace. We plan to reach out and
expand through a variety of internally developed titles, co-productions in
India and internationally, local acquisitions, specialty motion pictures,
specialty videos and classic titles. We foresee these films provide content
for television, and further drive the recreation and ancillary businesses.
Grey Films - Television
Our purpose has been to
create content that exceeds the desires of our partners and audiences in
changing times. We are driven to explore how our skills in media and
technology apply to tomorrow's entertainment programming, and our aim is to
be the most creative producer of television content in the world. We're
proud of the diversity of our output, and the immensely talented team that
makes it happen.
Our interest in television lies in the genres we
have covered - wildlife, environment, travel, science and technology,
adventure, archaeology, history, society and culture, children's and women's
issues, reality, health and medicine.
We have independently
designed productions, crafted cinematographic work and provided over 100
hours of programming content and high quality technical support for
broadcast on national and international channels. We have also worked on
leading brands across segments, making commercials, promotional films and
corporate videos.
At Grey Films, a good idea need not be limited
by time and money - we think out of the box, push the envelope and produce
work that is not ordinary or predictable. The arc of imagination that
bridges the script to our final product is defined by understanding,
thinking, visualizing, branding, sketching, and innovating - from concept to
shoot and to the television screen. And yes, we are religious when it comes
to details of production design, planning and scheduling.
We see
convergence as the future of television - you will turn on your TV and have
an internet's worth of programming to choose from - this will be television
content delivered through an internet-like model. And then imagine the
